Statement – Council Committee Reassignments and New Member Appointment

“Following today’s Council committee reassignments, I look forward to taking on the additional oversight responsibilities for the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development and the Office of Lottery and Gaming. These agencies touch critical areas of economic growth, workforce development, and neighborhood vitality, and I look forward to working with colleagues, agencies, and residents on these issues. I will continue to serve as Chair of the Committee on Human Services, which retains the agencies assigned to it.

I also want to welcome Councilmember Doni Crawford and look forward to working with her in this new role on the significant challenges and opportunities facing the District.”
