Working Toward a Safer DC for Everyone
Councilmember Frumin supports a practical approach to public safety that combines strong policing with proven prevention efforts. He works with MPD, District agencies, and community groups to improve coordination, response times, and transparency. His focus is on strategies that reduce crime, support residents, and keep public spaces safe.

Delivering for Ward 3 and the District
- Supported funding for police recruitment, retention, and community policing strategies to strengthen public safety across the District.
- Backed violence prevention programs and neighborhood-based safety strategies focused on youth engagement and targeted interventions.
- Engaged in regular community safety walks and meetings with MPD near schools, parks, and commercial areas to address neighborhood concerns.
- Worked with District agencies to improve pedestrian and traffic safety near schools and recreational spaces.
- Supported legislation and investments to strengthen emergency response systems, including improving staffing for 911 call centers.
- Hosted regular Public Safety Forums, bringing together agency leaders including MPD, the DC Attorney General’s Office, and more to discuss trends, recent incidents, and hear from Ward 3 residents about their experiences.
